Biography
Amir Ghavi, is a NYC-based partner at Fried Frank, a global law firm. Leading the firm’s tech practice, Amir serves as outside counsel for leading foundation model developers (including defending in copyright/AI litigations); advises Fortune 500s on AI use and governance; and shapes governmental AI policies and frameworks. Bolstered by a background in neuroscience and philosophy, Amir frequently speaks on AI's vast landscape, educates peers, and collaborates with academia and industry. He’s been a resource on AI for major publications like the Wall St. Journal, New York Times and Scientific American and lectures at institutions like Cornell Tech and MIT Sloan on AI and the law. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the open source social networking company Mastodon.
