Biography

Ashwin is a member of BDO’s National Office and is responsible for leading various activities relating to the firm’s implementation of new international (IAASB) and U.S. (ASB and PCAOB) auditing standards, including development of BDO’s audit methodology, guidance, and tools. He is also a member of BDO’s Global Audit Approach Group that is responsible for setting and deploying global audit policy and methodology responses for the over 160 member firms within BDO’s global network.

Ashwin provides technical consultations to engagement teams on various auditing and reporting matters applicable to public and private company audits. His areas of expertise and intertest include audit data analytics, large and complex group audits, and auditor assessments of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR).

Ashwin has over 18 years of public accounting experience that includes a combination of client service delivery on mostly large global audits, regulatory experience as a former inspection staff at the PCAOB, and current national office role at BDO.
