Biography
John Trentacoste is the Global Head of Executive Compensation and U.S. Regulatory at Goldman Sachs.
A recognized expert in the fields of executive pay and corporate governance, Mr. Trentacoste has been a frequent speaker at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Council of Institutional Investors, KPMG Board Leadership Conference, and WorldatWork. He has been extensively quoted in various national and trade publications, including Bloomberg and The Washington Post.
In recognition of his contributions to the boardroom and corporate governance, he was twice-named to the NACD Directorship 100, honoring the most influential people shaping boardroom dialogue.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Trentacoste was an executive compensation consultant to management teams and compensation committees of large, multi-national organizations. Most recently, he was a Senior Client Partner of Korn Ferry’s Executive Pay and Governance practice and a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Farient Advisors, a leading independent executive compensation and performance advisory firm.
Mr. Trentacoste holds a B.A. from Cornell University and completed a post baccalaureate business certificate program at Columbia University.
