Biography
Mary Beth Walker serves as Counsel Detailee to the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet, where she focuses on trademark and copyright issues. Ms. Walker is detailed from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she is an Associate Solicitor. In that role she represented the agency in court, principally in trademark cases. Prior to joining the USPTO, Ms. Walker worked in the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives, and at two law firms in Washington, D.C. Ms. Walker also clerked for the Honorable Theresa Carroll Buchanan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Ms. Walker is a graduate of Duke Law School and the University of Virginia.
