Biography

Matt is a member of the Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement team for Citi’s Institutional Clients Group.  He is responsible for a broad range of regulatory and internal investigations, sweeps, enforcement and litigation proceedings, and other related inquiries conducted by federal and state regulatory authorities, criminal law enforcement authorities, and self-regulatory agencies. 

Before joining Citi in 2014, Matt was an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP where he represented financial institutions, multinational corporations, and individuals in complex civil litigation and enforcement matters, including securities, antitrust, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder derivative, bankruptcy, and contractual matters. 

Matt received a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2006 and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 2003.  After law school, Matt clerked for the Honorable Deborah L. Cook on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
