Biography
Matthew Slowik is Senior Counsel with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Office of Chief Counsel. Mr. Slowik advises on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s cybersecurity mission, including technologies and services that protect federal information systems, information sharing, threat hunting and vulnerability assessment engagements, and industrial control systems cybersecurity. Mr. Slowik previously worked as the legal counsel to the FEMA CIO. Before joining DHS in 2012, Mr. Slowik worked at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, where he drafted and issued grants and contracts for basic research efforts within the aerospace field. Before and during law school, Mr. Slowik worked as a software developer, graduated from George Mason University School of Law and Brown University, where he received a degree in Computer Science and Political Science.
