Matt Jacques helps clients solve their most complex and important financial reporting, regulatory, investigation, compliance, and litigation problems. In March 2022, he returned to AlixPartners after spending over three years as the Chief Accountant for the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. As Chief Accountant, Matt was responsible for leading the Enforcement Division’s enforcement program related to financial accounting, disclosure, and auditing enforcement matters. His unique combination of experience as a regulator, forensic accountant, auditor, and accounting expert make him a trusted advisor to counsel, regulatory agencies, and company management. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner.
