Overview
PLI’s annual Commercial Real Estate Finance program is unparalleled in its depth of instruction in this complex, highly competitive field. Each year, Program Chair Joshua Stein brings together an exceptional roster of legal, financial, and other commercial real estate experts to discuss critical aspects of real estate finance including banking and rating agency metrics as well as litigation outcomes.
As changing global market forces challenged even the most experienced professionals over the prior two years, now is the time to shore up our knowledge of the applicable laws and to sharpen our practice skills. We will review, among other topics: (i) loan workouts and servicing issues, including loan modifications; (ii) guaranties and carveouts; (iii) ground leases; (iv) recent cases; (v) rating agency expectations; (vi) property and casualty risk and insurance coverage needs; (vii) recent changes and issues in Delaware law; and (viii) promissory notes and the problems they create. This year’s program will also feature a new segment on C-PACE Financing.
