Overview

Cybersecurity continues to play a pivotal role in all aspects of today’s digital world and to present challenges and opportunities for businesses.  So far in 2023, the White House has announced a National Cybersecurity Strategy, the SEC has adopted new rules regarding cybersecurity disclosures for public companies, and NIST has released a draft update of its Cybersecurity Framework. Ransomware, insider threats, and the use of social engineering continue to make headlines.  The cybersecurity insurance market continues to grow.  

Our speakers will discuss:

  • Noteworthy cyberattacks of 2023, including the MGM Resorts and Caesars cyberattack (15 minutes);
  • Recurring themes in cyber risk, including ransomware, business email compromise, and social engineering (10 minutes);

  • Takeaways and tips for in-house counsel, law firm lawyers, government lawyers and other cybersecurity and information governance professionals (15 minutes).
