Why You Should Attend
Employment discrimination law, and the litigation that surrounds it, continues to be dynamic and the only certainty is that it keeps changing. 2025 promises to bring another year of developments which need to be understood, mastered and navigated by practitioners. To help us get there, we are offering this very popular and extremely well-attended full-day event.
Once again we are pleased to bring together for a national audience, preeminent practitioners from the management and plaintiff’s bars, in-house counsel and government agency representatives to analyze and provide guidance and understanding on the latest developments and trends in the law of discrimination as it applies to the United States workplace.
This program will include a reprise of the widely acclaimed panel discussion on current developments and decided cases of interest across the country in various state and federal courts. With 2025 ushering in a new Republican administration, this discussion will also include directional changes expected from the new administration.
Also of interest to everyone will be a specific discussion by expert commentators concerning discrimination, retaliation and whistleblower claims in the legal profession.
Since the vast majority of employment discrimination cases are settled, a panel of seasoned practitioners will take us through the process of settling a case, from start to finish. For those cases that do not settle, there will be an informative panel on presenting cases to a jury, including important pre-trial motions, jury selection issues, the use of demonstrative exhibits, and trends in employment discrimination jury verdicts.
The law of disability accommodation continues to expand in areas such as pregnancy-related conditions and creating complexity in the high pressure workplace. Both situations create unique challenges in applying existing principles of reasonable accommodation and engaging in the interactive process.
As in the past, our expert faculty will not only provide critical updates on recent developments in the law, but also offer their perspectives on addressing employment discrimination issues from a proactive point of view as well as handling litigation.
