Biography

Amanda is an experienced trade controls lawyer having taken both private practice and in house roles during her career.  She is UK qualified and has worked for Equinor ASA since 2015, based in Oslo.  She leads the Trade Controls team and has responsibility for sanctions and export control compliance across the company, both at a program and transactional level.  During her time at Equinor she has collaborated with various EU governmental bodies as well as external partners and suppliers.  She had a significant role in the company’s Russia business assisting with entry into new partnerships, ensuring systems were set up for compliance during the projects and with the company’s recent exit from the country.  She has been instrumental in digitalizing the trade controls screening program within Equinor. Prior to working for Equinor she worked in house for a large UK bank and also in private practice.  She went to University in the UK and started her career there in private practice.
