Biography

Tim Ingrassia serves as Co-Chairman of Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs. Prior to assuming his current role in 2011, Tim was Head of M&A in the Americas. From 2002 through 2008, Tim was the Global Head of the Consumer Retail Group in Investment Banking. He was formerly Co-Chief Operating Officer in the Communications, Media and Entertainment Department in New York. He worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department until 1997. Tim joined Goldman Sachs in 1986, became a Managing Director in 1996 and a Partner in 1998. Tim has served on the Board of the College at the University of Virginia, is on the Board of Trustees at The Cooper Union, is the Vice Chair of the Brooklyn Public Library and has been actively involved in a number of additional Brooklyn-based nonprofit organizations. Tim earned a BA from the University of Virginia in 1986.
