Virginia Clarke is a Senior Law Career Counselor at The George Washington University Law School. Most recently, Virginia practiced corporate governance and securities law at a large Wall Street firm. Previously, she was the Director of Judicial Clerkships and Professional Development at the University of Arizona College of Law and an assistant director of Pace Law School’s New Directions program. Following law school, Virginia was a corporate associate at the New York firm to which she later returned; she also served as in-house counsel at a Fortune 100 company. Virginia earned her B.A. from Williams College and J.D. from Northwestern University Law School.

Prior to joining the law school in 2012, she was the assistant dean for career services at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, GA. Janet has more than 15 years of experience in law student career and professional development and recruiting. She is a former associate recruiting and development manager at Paul Hastings and associate director in the Career Strategy Center at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law.
