CPD Requirements: The Law Society of Saskatchewan requires all active members are required to complete 12 hours of accredited CPD within the calendar year. No less than 2 of the required 12 hours must pertain primarily to ethics. Effective January 1, 2020, the current Term will be a one-year period commencing on January 1 and ending on December 31 of each year. Members will be entitled to carry-over up to 12 CPD hours (2 of which may qualify as Ethics Hours) into the consecutive Term. Completing Your CPD Requirements with PLI: Any PLI or SECI program can be used toward a lawyer's Saskatchewan CPD requirement if the lawyer can demonstrate that it is directly related to improving professional competence in their practice. View PLI CPD programs eligible for CPD in Saskatchewan.
The Law Society of Saskatchewan requires lawyers to earn CPD via Law Society-approved activities. The Law Society accepts applications for approval of CPD activities by a member or a CPD provider. PLI will submit a CPD Activity Application upon request. Email PLICredits@pli.edu to request an application be submitted to the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
Attendance Reporting: Lawyers must self-report their CPD activities in their Member Profile through the Law Society website.
