Compliance Certification Board (CCB)®
Requirements: The Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® requires certified compliance professionals licensed by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) to earn and submit 40 CCB-approved continuing education units, including a minimum of 20 earned from "live" training events, every two years from the month they originally passed the certification exam. Certification holders have a 1-month grace period beyond the renewal month. CEUs earned in excess of the requirement are not carried into the next renewal cycle.
Candidates must earn and submit 20 CCB approved continuing education units in order to apply to sit for a CCB examination, including a minimum of 10 earned from "live" training events. CEUs must be earned within the 12-month period preceding the date of the exam.
CEUs can be applied toward the continuing education requirements for the following certifications:
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)®
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional–International (CCEP-I)®
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional Fellow (CCEP-F)®
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)®
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)®
- Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)®
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance Fellow (CHC-F)®
Completing Your CCB Requirements with PLI: PLI applies for approval from the CCB for select PLI programs. PLI and SEC Institute's live seminars, live webcasts and co-sponsored locations qualify as "live" training events. There is no limit to the number of credits that candidates or certification holders can earn via live programs. View live programs approved by the CCB.
PLI and SEC Institute's on-demand web programs, MP3s, and MP4s qualify as "self-study" credit. Candidates are limited to 10 self-study credits per 12-month period, and certification holders are limited to 20 self-study credits per 2-year renewal period. View self-study programs approved by the CCB.
Attendance Reporting: Attendees must submit their CEU credits to the CCB within 30 days after the activity. For live seminars, webcasts and co-sponsored locations, report credits online or sign the certificate and send via email to ccb@compliancecertification.org.
