Biography
Aurora is the Legal Director of the Tenant Justice Project, a 30-person multi-county homelessness prevention team at California Rural Legal Assistance. She joined CRLA as a staff attorney in 2016, and was Directing Attorney of CRLA’s Modesto office from 2020-2021 before joining the TJP. She is co-chair of CLRA’s Housing Task Force. Her practice focusses on housing protections, including eviction defense, housing discrimination claims, and substandard housing litigation. Before joining CRLA, Aurora was a staff attorney at Mental Health Advocacy Services, Inc. in Los Angeles. Aurora received her law degree from the University of Southern California, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. She enjoys extremely slow walks and exploring nature with her two small dogs. Aurora is originally from Milwaukee, WI and moved to California to escape the cold.
