Christine Lawton is a leading media and entertainment transactional attorney and business advisor. She is General Counsel of Wenew, Inc., founded by digital artist Mike Winkelmann (a/k/a Beeple), Guy Oseary, Michael Figge and Tim Smith to support the Wenew NFT platform on?the Ethereum blockchain.?As General Counsel, Christine provides day-to-day business, legal and operational advice, and is responsible for first-of-a-kind, highly-tailored agreements with strategic partners to create new consumer experiences by connecting the worlds of finance, payments, cryptocurrency and blockchain with iconic digital media, music, art and brands. Her duties also include oversight of issues pertaining to Wenew’s strategic partnerships with TIME, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Endeavor, Wasserman and others, as well as intellectual property, corporate, governance, board, regulatory, and compliance matters. ?


Prior to Wenew, Christine was a partner at Nolan Heimann LLP where her practice focused on IP licensing and distribution transactions across film, TV, streaming, consumer technology and consumer goods. Prior to Nolan Heimann, Christine held senior business and legal affairs roles at Disney, DreamWorks, Universal and Fox where she developed specific expertise in entertainment, media, consumer technologies and consumer goods business model and distribution innovations.
