Biography

Chris Kelley is currently serving as the Acting Deputy Associate Chief Counsel (Passthroughs and Special Industries).  He was previously Special Counsel to the Associate Chief Counsel, Passthroughs and Special Industries, where he worked on partnership, energy, and excise tax issues.  He was also an attorney-advisor in the Tax Legislative Counsel Office in Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy, where he handled energy and excise tax matters.  Chris has also worked for the Washington National Tax Office of KPMG.  Chris received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Illinois and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University.
