Jill Kastner

Biography

Atty. Jill Kastner serves as the Project Director for the Student Legal Aid (SLA) Project at Legal Action of Wisconsin.  The SLA Project works with Technical Colleges, pro bono volunteers and community partners to provide direct services to low-income Technical College Students in 39 Wisconsin Counties to remove legal barriers to education and employment.  Jill recently completed her 3-year progressive term as President of the State Bar of Wisconsin.  Before working at Legal Action, Jill practiced Intellectual Property Litigation with Reinhart, Boerner Van Deuren in Milwaukee and with McDermott, Will & Emery in the Silicon Valley.  Jill, a proud mother of two, graduated UCLA School of LAW Order of the Coif in 2000 and earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 1997.
