Biography
Katherine is a Staff Attorney and Program Manager of the Housing Rights Program at Asian-Americans Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus. She is a former Marin County deputy public defender and has clerked in the San Francisco and Contra Costa public defender offices, and interned with the ACLU of Northern California’s Death Penalty Department. Prior to joining Advancing Justice – ALC, Katherine was a civil defense litigator, primarily handling product liability, toxic tort, personal injury, and employment matters. Katherine was a lead production editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and graduated from UC Hastings in 2008 with a concentration in Criminal Law Practice and Theory. Katherine is conversational in Mandarin, is a member of the San Francisco Tenant Bar, and is Co-Chair of the Civil Rights Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA).
