Biography
Luna Droubi is a partner at Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP specializing in civil rights law, class actions, and employment law.
Luna has frequently litigated cases involving police use of force against with mental disabilities, including the cases of David Felix, who was shot and killed by New York City Police Detectives, and Samuel Harrell, who was killed by Corrections Officers at Fishkill Correctional Facility in New York. She is co-counsel in the putative class action Greene v. City of New York et al., currently pending in the Southern District of New York, which is challenging New York City’s use of police officers as first responders to individuals in mental crisis. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of NYCLU which defends and promotes civil liberties and civil rights in New York State.
Prior to joining Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP, Luna clerked for the Honorable Sterling Johnson Jr. in the Eastern District of New York. During law school, Luna was Editor-in-Chief of the New York Law School Law Review and interned with the United Nations, Manhattan Legal Services, and the Legal Aid Society.
