Biography
Scott is partner in Ropes & Gray’s global finance practice. He advises global private equity firms, their portfolio companies and public companies on bank, bond, preferred equity and other capital markets transactions, as well as complex liability management transactions.
Scott also counsels leading global real estate investment firms on leveraged finance-style transactions in the capital markets space.
His clients include Bain Capital, TPG, GI Partners, Silver Lake, Kohlberg & Co., and American Industrial Partners. Scott recently guided TPG and DirecTV in connection with the bank and bond financing for the spinout of DirecTV from AT&T.
Scott received his JD from Brooklyn Law School, his MS from Yeshiva University and received a BA in finance from The George Washington University. He is based in the Ropes & Gray’s 500-lawyer New York office.
