Paula Davis
Paula Davis, JD, MAPP, is the Founder and CEO of the Stress & Resilience Institute, a training and consulting firm that partners with law firms, corporate legal departments, and organizations to help them reduce burnout and build more resilient and engaged teams. Paula has been working closely with legal organizations to improve well-being for more than a decade, and since 2020 alone has delivered nearly 400 workshops, trainings, keynotes, and programs on well-being and leadership topics.
Paula left her law practice after seven years and earned a master’s degree in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. As part of her post-graduate training, Paula was selected to be part of the University of Pennsylvania faculty, and taught resilience skills to soldiers as part of the Army’s Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness program.
Paula is the author of Beating Burnout at Work: Why Teams Hold the Secret to Well-Being & Resilience, which is about burnout prevention using a teams-based approach, and which became the #1 best-selling title for her publisher, the Wharton School Press. She is currently working on her second book at the intersection of leadership, well-being, and engagement.

Shailini George
Professor Shailini George teaches legal writing and a 1L well-being and professional identity formation course. Her scholarship focuses on the areas of lawyer well-being, mindfulness, and the cognitive science of learning. She is the author of The Law Student’s Guide to Doing Well and Being Well (Carolina Academic Press 2021), as well as law review articles on distraction and the cognitive science of learning and why law students need mindfulness training. Professor George was recently appointed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Lawyer Well-Being and co-chairs its Legal Education Subcommittee. She also recently joined the Board of Directors of the Institute For Well-Being in Law. Professor George is a member of the Executive Committee for the AALS Balance and Wellbeing in Law Section and was the winner of the Section’s 2022 award for her work on law student well-being.
