William A. Tanenbaum
William A. Tanenbaum is a technology and IP partner and Leader of the AI & Data Law Practice at Moses & Singer in New York. Bill is a past President of the International Technology Law Association, a “Lawyer of the Year” in IT in New York (U.S. News & World Report, 2013), a “Global Thought Leader” in Data and “a leading name in AI” (Who’s Who Legal, 2024), one of “The World’s Leading IP Strategists” (Managing IP), and one of the “Top 10 Pioneering Tech Lawyers Shaping New York’s Legal Landscape” (Business Today, 2023). Bill co-chairs PLI’s annual Data Law program. Chambers ranks him in its top tiers at the Global and U.S. levels, selected him as the editor of its Global Practice Guide to AI, and says he “brings extremely high integrity, a deep intellect, fearlessness and a practical, real-world mindset to every problem.” Bill graduated from Brown University (Phi Beta Kappa), Cornell Law School, and the Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving.
