Why You Should Attend
Hedge Fund Management 2024 will provide attorneys with an overview of the common terms and structures being used in hedge funds today,
highlighting the key aspects of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and how recent SEC rulemaking and regulatory developments have impacted hedge fund managers. Attendees will learn about the international requirements applied to hedge funds registration, taking a look at developments in EU jurisdictions and the Cayman Islands. They will also have the opportunity to hear directly from in-house counsel at hedge funds about what keeps them up at night and what they wish their external counsel did better.
This program will also address diversity and inclusion in the alternative investment industry, illuminating how to better recognize and eliminate structural and institutional biases in the legal system as it pertains to the investment funds industry. Attendees will learn pragmatic best practices on what can be done to increase diversity in the investment industry attorney population and more importantly, what can be done differently.
