Overview

Why You Should Attend

2024 has seen a continued evolution in the health care landscape. With expansive proposed federal legislation targeting PBMs still on the table in addition to an ongoing FTC inquiry, Medicare drug price negotiations ongoing, growth in health care AI, and expansion of DOJ enforcement, the health care industry continues to change dramatically. Join PLI’s expert faculty of health care lawyers, in-house counsel, and government regulators, as we examine the current state of health care law. This program will cover the broad range of issues confronting the health care industry: continued Medicare drug price negotiation, use of artificial intelligence in the health care sector, PBM reform and investigations, expanding DOJ enforcement, physician payment system changes, enforcement of health care fraud and abuse laws, and a detailed look at recent and pending legislation.

What You Will Learn

  • Explain recent developments in the Medicare drug pricing negotiation process, observations from the first round of negotiation, and highlights of new program guidance
  • Understand the continued PBM reform efforts and impacts of ongoing FTC scrutiny of the industry
  • Strategize about what might be on the horizon for 2025 for hospital and physician payment systems
  • Summarize enforcement trends in health care law and the lessons learned in 2024
