Overview

In the last two years, the Supreme Court has dramatically moved constitutional law in a conservative direction. Once again, the docket for the October Term 2023 for the Supreme Court is filled with cases of great legal and social importance that will profoundly affect the lives of many people. Please join Dean Erwin Chemerinsky as he provides a review of the major cases this term, including those concerning gun rights; the power of federal administrative agencies; social media content and speech on the internet; access to the abortion drug mifepristone; the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act and Idaho’s Defense of Life Act; and whether Donald Trump is disqualified from running for president.
